I used Apoxie Sculpt to adhere ALL the tesserae and it worked beautifully, I also used to again attach the horn caps to the head. This is the first skull I have used Aves Apoxie Sculpt to adhere the entire tesserae.

About the Artist: Mosaic Sanctuary

I live on a large remote cattle ranch in South Central Montana. I am married to a 3rd generation rancher and the ranch has been in his family for about 100 years. I have 4 grown children. Our oldest son and his family ranch with us making 5 generations of Loyning’s on this ranch.

I am a self taught artist of mosaic’s, Wire, and Resin. My work is carried by a gallery in Cody, Wyoming called North Mountain Gallery, I do commission work, and my art sells by word of mouth.

About the Art

Why I LOVE AVES APOXIE SCULPT! I use real skulls for my mosaic work, and the very often need repaired or rebuilt before I can use them. This includes nose pieces, teeth, and natural holes. I use Aves Apoxie Sculpt for all of this and more, I use it also to adhere unconventional tesserae to my skulls. It works superbly for covering and then attaching horn caps to skulls and then applying tesserae to this to give the attached caps some pizzazz. I also used to attach all tiles as I never have a worry about tiles coming loose during the grouting process. I am continually finding new ways of using your wonderful products! In my wire tree sculptures I use it to attach my trees to their foundations, and I never worry about them breaking free from that foundation!

My resin art I used it to make channels for the Geode tables I created, I use it to plug holes in the cedar slabs I use to create the Geode tables, I use it to make a “lip” around the outer top table to my Resin stays where it needs to and NEVER HAVE LEAKS! I LOVE YOUR PRODUCT FOR ITS VERSATILITY! You name it and it can be done with Aves Apoxie Sculpt!
